History: It is the vehicle of scientific dissemination of the Society of Forest Investigations created in 1977 that completed 44 years without interruption.
Objectives: To be the main quality channel for the dissemination of scientific production in Forest Science; To perform a social institution function by legitimizing the scientific societies, authors and their fields of study and; play a strategic didactic-pedagogical role.

Classification: Revista Árvore is indexed in 15 important national and international organizations, especially SciELO, which is the most important online publication system in Brazil. Revista Árvore is indexed on Thomson Scientific’s ISI Web of Knowledge in the United States (http://www.isiwebofknowledge.com/), Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch), and JCR Journal Citation Reports, Scientific Edition, with the impact factor. 2020 equals 0.903 (last 5 years average) and 0.774 (last 2 years average), based on ISI Web of Knowledge. The Revista Árvore obtained the following impact factor classification according to SCOPUS: Elsevier in 2015 0.835 for SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) and 2020 equal to 0.774 for SJR (SCImago Journal Rank). No Qualis is classified as B1 for Agricultural Sciences, A2 Environmental Sciences, B1 for Engineering I and included for several other CAPES WebQualis classification areas.
